American Indians famously had a use for every part of the buffalo, and its teeth are no exception. This bead makes an excellent addition the the Indian Necklace made as part of most Camp Flintlock field trips!

Did you know? The American buffalo once roamed as far west as the Rockies and as far east as the original thirteen colonies, even crossing the Appalachians into the Piedmont region! It wasn't until the mid- to late 1700s that this enormous animal--technically a bison and not a buffalo--was driven from the area and became associated with only the Great Plains region of North America.
